Romantic Elopement in Florida
Charles and Mary decided to elope in Northeast Florida at the beautiful and Historic Casa Marina Hotel. They had a a few treasured family members come to witness their commitment of love, so we were honored when they asked us to shoot their special day. We could not think of a more perfect place to start your marriage together!
Originally, there was no plan to take any getting ready photos or any details leading up to their ceremony. Fortunately, upon arrival, Mary changed her mind and I was able to sneak up-stairs and take a few quick shots of her getting ready. Let me tell you, she looked BEAUTIFUL. Mary chose the most beautiful and classic beaded knee length dress that looked absolutely perfect on her. I was so excited to take a few special shots between her and her mom, and a first look with dad!
Afterward, we headed downstairs for an intimate first look with Mary and her future husband. Because we are a husband and wife team, we were able to shoot and deliver two different angles of their first look. We are so excited to present multiple angles of a wedding day so our couples can have memories that last forever!
After the couples first look, it was time for their ceremony. This took place on the beach, and it was so dreamy to hear the waves crash in the background as they professed their love and vows to each other!
After their ceremony, the couple moved into family photos, bridals, cake cutting, and toasts. Charles and Mary are in the Navy, and during their cake cutting we learned that it's tradition to cut their cake with a sword! It was so fun to see special traditions such as these still carried out, even in small intimate weddings!
Afterwards, we were able to move onto couples photos. Charles and Mary also shared their first dance as a married couple and chose Speechless by Dan & Shay. Congratulations Charles and Mary!
